Figures, Huh?

I escaped from office today like I'd just discovered I had a home and, as when I stay at office like I don't have a home, the reason, as always, is you. Which got me thinking. And equating. And formulating. And I've summed it all up (har, pun!) into what I believe is the one thing of value Math may EVER have to teach us.

There's you, there's me. And then there's me-you, the me I am with you, which is more me-me than me ever was. And then there's you-me which I love 'cos it's the you that you make for me, which in turn puts the me in you. We were two separate wholes, each complete enough even without me-you you-me, so now do we factor in the additional powers or do we round them up to preserve the neat whole? Even considering that rounding it up will never really REMOVE those extra numbers that were there for however brief a time, there's only one real question in every relationship problem - given our equation, are we more or less than the sum of our parts when put together?

Fractions coming shortly to a blog-post near you. And don't miss the wisdom in the affixed figurey.
