'Otherwise from language we descend to chatter, from chatter to babble, and from babble to confusion.'
Does that mean, then, that a meaningful relationship needs language alone? That, when it becomes chatter, it stops making sense because it's just going to become babble? Must confusion inevitably follow babble? Has babble no value of its own?
Or am I just a loudmouth trying too hard to justify it?
