Just Friends

When the fiancée says I'm his best friend, I do a little jig inside my head, because it means I'm part of his Godfather-like inner circle of deeply respected and revered advisers who are also cool enough to be like 'maaaachuuuu-' this, and 'baingan-hai-ki-aaloo-hai' that.

When I say the fiancée's my best friend, it means he basically has to listen to hours and hours of 'Zomfgwaaaaf, pretty sariiiiiii! And this one. And this one. Does it go with these earrings? And okay but so what about the chain?'

PS: One month to go. And somewhere along this time, he went from 'Well, you know, I love you, but I don't think we could have been friends otherwise, re,' to 'You're my best friend.' Score, brother.
