I don't know what 'Googley' means to people outside of Google... free food, goodies, pool tables? Sure, but like I iterate and reiterate at every presentation I make, Google is NOT about the freebies, it's about an inherent honesty that you either have or you don't. I'm not suggesting everyone at Google has it, I would happily ask some (read, most) people to go home 'cos they were hiring mistakes. But then there are some who, by fluke or by good fortune, SO get it that there's no mistaking it.
Arre, I love you children... you know who you are :) Yesterday was bloody kick-ass; better than ISOC, better than Vizag, better than all the laughter and the gossip and the endless good times. When I think Google, I'm going to think of us, and feel it was worth it regardless of any bitching I may do on a day-to-day basis.
And of course it's a great side benefit to get to do what every Dilbert comic dreams of doing - yelling at one's manager, delivering ultimatums right back at him, and essentially saying all those things you think with a cautionary '@@#@' if you're in a cartoon.
... It IS as much fun as it looks like, btw.
